If this doesn’t make sense to you now, hopefully it will by the time I’m through.<\/p><\/div>\n

The purpose of this blog is to hopefully help anyone afraid of attempting to build something like this overcome their\u00a0trepidation. \u00a0So, as I go along my journey, I plan to document every little step as much as possible. \u00a0One thing I’ve had trouble finding is a blog made for people who don’t know anything about the process. \u00a0\u00a0I have enough knowledge to fill in the blanks a bit but I see far too many posts in the forums by people who just don’t know where to start or don’t understand why people are doing what they’re doing. \u00a0I hope that my site will be as clear and helpful as possible.<\/p>\n

I plan to post pictures and descriptions of all of the parts I ended up using. \u00a0As much as possible, I will document my process with pictures or video.
\nI’m hoping, down the line, to get into much more detail about everything I’ve figured out so far. But, if you’re the type to nose around and figure things out on your own, here are some links I frequent to help you get started.<\/p>\n

https:\/\/groups.google.com\/forum\/?fromgroups#!forum\/deltabot<\/a>\u00a0 <— \u00a0This is the main forum for development of “delta” 3D printers. \u00a0This basically means printers that use three arms to move their print heads. \u00a0There is development on both “delta-ish” printers, like the Cerberus and Kossel, that aren’t “true” deltas, and “real” deltas that literally use three arms to print.
\nThat may make no sense, but it will if you dig around in the forum a bit. \u00a0There’s a LOT of great discussion going on there and this is where I learned about the Cerberus.<\/p>\n

https:\/\/plus.google.com\/u\/0\/110997713826931701065\/posts<\/a>\u00a0 <— \u00a0This is the Google+ account of Steve Graber, the designer and developer of the Cerberus printer. \u00a0He doesn’t currently have a site devoted to this printer but he updates his G+ site often. \u00a0He works on some pretty cool projects otherwise, too. \u00a0He’s got a photo gallery of his Cerberus development process that’s been extremely helpful to me.<\/p>\n

http:\/\/www.thingiverse.com\/<\/a>\u00a0 <— \u00a0This is where I first learned of the Rostock printer. \u00a0It’s full of really cool things and a lot of inspirational items that will make you REALLY<\/em> want a printer.<\/p>\n
